📋 Description

• Conduct and/or direct thorough, timely, and impartial HR investigations in the JAPAC region, specifically Japan • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity while conducting objective investigations • Create investigation plans, summaries, and professional investigation records • Report investigation findings clearly to HR colleagues, legal partners, and business leaders • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners at Amgen Japan • Advise managers on performance management, disciplinary action, conflict, and other staff relations issues • Partner with local Human Resources Business Partners on employee relations issues • Participate in or counsel corrective counseling and termination conversations • Respond to staff concerns and advise management on workplace best practices • Document cases and issues in tracking systems and provide updates to site and Staff Relations leadership • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for internal HR processes • Partner with HR, Compliance, and Learning & Development to create and deliver training on HR policies and reporting suspected violations • Report to the Regional Staff Relations Lead

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above • 5 years of Investigations/Employee Relations experience • Knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and business practices related to HR • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills • Ability to learn and fairly apply company policy, investigation procedures, and regulatory guidelines • Ability to identify and escalate potential HR, Compliance, and Legal issues • Experience working with unions or in labor relations • Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and project management skills • Ability to manage multiple cases and projects and prioritize effectively • Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently • Experience managing difficult conversations and conducting non-confrontational interviews • Experience working across different countries and cultures • Exceptional integrity and ability to maintain confidential information • Fluency in Japanese and English, including written, spoken, reading, and comprehension
