📋 Description

• Develop product adoption, usage, and value-generation for a core area of Orbital • Deeply understand users, their technical requirements, problems, and decision-making processes • Own product strategy and roadmap for the assigned area of Orbital • Build working knowledge of downstream operations and relevant workflows • Prioritize customer feedback and product hypotheses to drive impact • Define requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria • Iterate and test continuously with engineering and research colleagues • Maintain close relationships and feedback loops with customers and users • Analyze product, usage, and utilization metrics • Spend regular time with customers, including onsite visits where useful • Represent customer needs internally and roadmap direction to customers • Translate customer needs into features, functionality, workflows, and capabilities • Ensure the product area is adopted, used, and creating customer value • Translate downstream operational challenges into a prioritized backlog • Partner with research and engineering leads to scope, specify, and sequence work • Coordinate with customer-facing project managers on timelines and capacity • Communicate roadmap, rationale, and trade-offs to leadership, engineering, and customers • Surface risks and scope trade-offs early • Maintain roadmaps, release notes, and customer-facing capability overviews

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years as a Product Manager, ideally in enterprise B2B SaaS or deep-tech • Experience with physics, chemistry, heavy industry, manufacturing or energy • Direct experience in Oil & Gas or Energy, ideally downstream (refining, petrochemicals) • Track record of inventing tech products • Comfort operating with ambiguity, incomplete data, and evolving customer needs • Clear, structured written and verbal communication • Experience building AI products is a nice to have • Experience building agentic workflows and agentic product experiences is a nice to have • Exposure to enterprise delivery environments is a nice to have • Experience with process control, operations, or reliability engineering software is a nice to have
