• Define the technology vision and multi-year roadmap for Development in alignment with R&D and clinical strategy • Act as the strategic interface between Digital Technology and Development leadership • Govern the portfolio of Development technology initiatives from ideation and prioritization through value realization and benefit tracking • Lead delivery of a coherent digital ecosystem supporting clinical trials, data platforms, and Development operations • Advise on Development technologies and translate scientific and operational needs into scalable solutions • Ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements including GxP, data integrity, and validation standards • Drive innovation and continuous improvement through digital capabilities and data leverage • Foster collaboration across Development, Data, Regulatory, Quality, and external partners • Lead complex programs and manage dependencies across a global, matrixed environment • Champion co-creation, accountability, and outcomes-driven delivery • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global DT Development team • Shape and embed the Development operating model within the DT organization • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Development technology vendors • Understand vendor capabilities, product roadmaps, and innovation agendas to inform technology decisions and maximize business value
• Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field • 10+ years of experience in Digital Technology / IT within a biopharmaceutical or life sciences environment • Strong experience supporting Clinical Development, R&D, or related GxP-regulated domains • Proven track record in leading large-scale technology portfolios and transformation programs • Experience working with senior stakeholders in Development, R&D, or Clinical Operations within a global organization • Strong people leadership capabilities, with experience building and scaling global teams • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively together within cross-functional teams and networks • Demonstrated communication skills within a multi-cultural and multi-lingual global environment • Experience with project management, proactive planning, priority setting, and securing alignment • Deep understanding of clinical development processes, including clinical trials, study execution, and regulatory requirements • Strong experience with Development-related platforms, clinical systems, data platforms, and analytics environments • Proven ability to define and execute multi-year technology strategies and roadmaps in a complex, regulated environment • Strong stakeholder management skills with senior leadership in global organizations • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional, global teams • Minimum 20% travel required
