📋 Description

• Keep pace with the latest developments in the Linux Kernel and integrate them for internal development and as a base for Arista EOS • Extend and develop new kernel features related to required functionality • Work with the kernel community to get features integrated upstream • Manage CPU subsystems on Arista products • Evaluate new CPUs and work with CPU/BIOS vendors to integrate their stacks into EOS • Bring up and qualify CPU/BIOS components in hardware products • Add new software features, debug problems, and fine-tune code for scalability and performance • Own projects from definition through deployment and customer interactions • Ensure the quality of delivered software

🎯 Requirements

• BS Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering • 5+ years experience of C or C++ and Python • Hands-on experience working on Linux Kernel software is a plus • Understanding of IP networking and/or distributed systems is a plus • Applied understanding of software engineering principles • Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills • Ability to design a solution and implement it successfully
