📋 Description

• Develop and integrate Linux Kernel features for internal use and as a base for Arista EOS • Keep pace with Linux Kernel developments and work with the kernel community to upstream features • Develop and extend kernel features related to required functionality • Evaluate new CPUs and work with CPU/BIOS vendors to integrate their stacks into EOS • Bring up and qualify CPU/BIOS components in Arista hardware products • Add new software features, debug problems, and tune code for scalability and performance • Own projects from definition through deployment and customer interactions • Ensure the quality of delivered software • Collaborate with the Platform team working closely with hardware and programming chips

🎯 Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering • 5+ years of experience with C or C++ and Python • Hands-on experience working on Linux Kernel software is a plus • Understanding of IP networking and/or distributed systems is a plus • Applied understanding of software engineering principles • Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills • Ability to design a solution and implement it successfully
