📋 Description

• Standardize packaging formats, materials, and equipment across regions while maintaining regulatory and customer-specific compliance • Drive sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective packaging solutions with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, and EHS • Lead packaging initiatives and manage documentation aligned with European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation goals • Lead packaging and packaging waste compliance programs related to country-specific Extended Producer Responsibility regulations • Execute installation and retrofitting of packaging equipment • Develop global technical specifications and standards • Enable competitive bidding and consistent supplier quality with Procurement • Lead packaging-related capital projects through concept, design, testing, commissioning, and startup with Engineering • Travel approximately 30% of the time • Contribute to organizational goals through initiative, goal execution, performance, and safety • Build collaborative relationships, optimize diverse talent, and use positive communication and influence to improve organizational capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical, industrial, or packaging engineering • 10 years of progressive experience in industrial or chemical packaging • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments • Working knowledge of European packaging sustainability and regulatory frameworks • Packaging materials sourcing and supplier management experience • Packaging testing, validation, and change management experience • Capital project execution proficiency • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior • Ability to understand the business, make complex decisions, and create new and different value • Fluent in English • Preferred: experience in pharma, food, or personal care sectors • Preferred: experience with U.S.-based projects and suppliers • Preferred: management of vendors submitting regulatory reports • Preferred: sustainability program support, material selection and packaging footprint reduction, and documentation for regulatory and customer audits • Self-starter qualities and solid professional experience required
