📋 Description

• Design, document, and drive architecture for key platform components focused on scalability, reliability, security, and business alignment • Own complex initiatives from architecture and design through development, deployment, and iteration • Translate ambiguous product goals into clear, scalable technical requirements • Build a unified, trusted, high-quality source of Aura's data for intelligence generation • Architect secure AI-agent access to sensitive data using least-privilege access, strong isolation, and enforceable privacy guarantees • Build systems that turn intelligence into personalized insights and safety actions for customers and families • Make and defend technology choices balancing scalability, cost, and operational simplicity • Champion security, privacy, observability, testing, and operational excellence practices • Mentor engineers on design challenges, performance tuning, and system reliability

🎯 Requirements

• 5 - 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of designing and shipping complex, large-scale distributed systems • Deep experience owning systems end-to-end on complex projects, from architecture through production operation • Strong knowledge of software design best practices, data structures, algorithms, and distributed-systems fundamentals • In-depth knowledge of cloud technology and judgment to choose appropriate tools, including serverless functions, containerized services, relational and NoSQL databases, caches, queues, and data-processing pipelines • Demonstrated experience building systems that handle sensitive or regulated data, with security and privacy as first-class design constraints • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and building cross-team alignment • Ability and desire to learn new technologies and move quickly in a fast-evolving AI landscape • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience • Preferred: experience building AI/LLM-powered systems in production, security/privacy engineering or trust & safety, large-scale data platforms, AWS, and Infrastructure as Code
