Base Power Company is a modern retail energy provider that offers fixed, low-cost electricity plans and whole-home battery backup installations for homeowners. The company installs lithium iron phosphate battery systems at residences, manages permitting and installation, and uses a shared, grid-balancing business model to generate revenue from providing demand-side services to the grid, which lets members access backup power and lower rates. Base currently serves customers in Texas and Illinois, integrates with solar and portable generators, and emphasizes safety certifications, customer support, and a subscription-style membership.
