📋 Description

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for India • Improve the quality of accruals, provisions, and reconciliations • Ensure reporting outputs are consolidation-ready for global reporting • Act as the single point of accountability for India finance • Drive follow-ups and closure on open finance items • Own statutory compliance and ensure zero missed filings • Maintain audit readiness and manage statutory, tax, and internal audits end-to-end • Close audit observations with sustainable fixes • Own and review outputs from external partners including Vistra and BDO • Review and challenge external partner deliverables • Own employee and operational expenses in India, including budget and spend review and approval • Ensure expense policy adherence and strengthen controls • Work with internal teams to understand business drivers and improve financial reporting • Provide context to financial data and identify improvement opportunities • Ensure continuity and follow-through on transfer pricing and APA-related matters • Coordinate with tax advisors on intercompany transaction and reporting compliance • Strengthen processes, documentation, systems, workflows, and controls to support growth • Reduce reliance on outsourced partners by building internal capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) required • 7–15 years of experience in controllership, accounting, or finance operations • Experience in a multinational or global reporting environment • Strong understanding of India GAAP/India AS • Working familiarity with US GAAP • Familiarity with STPI/SEZ compliance • Familiarity with FEMA/RBI guidelines • Familiarity with intercompany billing models common in SaaS setup • Prior experience working with external vendors such as Big4 or accounting firms preferred • Exposure to transfer pricing or APA is a plus • Experience with statutory compliance including GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and PF • Experience managing statutory, tax, and internal audits • Experience with transfer pricing, intercompany transactions/billing, or APA-related matters
