📋 Description

• Identify security vulnerabilities and modernization opportunities, and execute the roadmap set by the IT Manager • Remediate security findings from penetration tests, code reviews, and automated scanning tools • Modernize and enhance legacy applications • Refactor, redesign, and migrate applications to current frameworks and security standards • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure web applications and services • Apply secure coding practices and keep applications compliant with the client's security requirements • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects • Take part in phased deployments and post-deployment support • Work closely with the client’s IT and cybersecurity teams • Join a phased modernization program, moving legacy systems to .NET 8+ on AWS

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of software development experience in Microsoft-based environments • Strong hands-on experience with C# and VB.NET • Solid experience working with Visual Basic 6 (VB6) applications • Experience with relational databases, ideally Microsoft SQL Server • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Ability to manage several assignments at once • Fluent English • Availability to work US time zone hours in a fast-paced, agile environment • Experience modernizing legacy applications to .NET 8 or later is a plus • Experience with ASP.NET, Classic ASP, or PHP is a plus • Experience with Microsoft Access (32- and 64-bit) is a plus • Experience with AWS is a plus • Experience fixing web application vulnerabilities such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting (XSS) • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, input validation, and session management • Experience with automated security scanning tools is a plus • Experience with REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based source control is a plus
