📋 Description

• Lead accounting, reporting, and financial operations for a real estate private equity firm • Oversee accounting for GP and LP entities, including consolidations under ASC 810 • Manage capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and carried interest calculations • Prepare monthly financial statements, partner capital statements, and investor reports • Coordinate annual audits and tax returns with external audit and tax firms • Oversee job costing, construction draw packages, and development budget reconciliation • Own commitment accounting for long-term construction contracts and approve contractor pay applications • Establish controls for change orders, retainage, and lien waivers • Manage AP, AR, payroll, cash flow forecasting, and the corporate general ledger • Oversee development management fee billing and intercompany billing reconciliation and elimination • Own annual budgeting and long-range planning across corporate, fund, and project entities • Build forecast models, including rolling 13-week cash flow, multi-year P&L, balance sheet, and liquidity/runway projections • Lead monthly and quarterly re-forecast cycles and deliver budget-versus-actual variance analysis • Develop underwriting and investment models for acquisitions and development opportunities • Model capital structure and financing decisions and evaluate impacts on project and fund returns • Define and track KPIs and management dashboards • Present financial results and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and investors • Assist with investor reporting packages, capital account statements, and due diligence materials • Implement and improve Intuit Enterprise Suite, bill.com, internal controls, and closing procedures • Monitor covenants, reporting deadlines, and lender deliverables • Build the FP&A function over time, including hiring and mentoring analysts

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience in private equity, real estate development, or REIT/multifamily • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 810, 323, 360, 970, 842, and fund accounting principles • Experience with construction accounting, cost segregation concepts, and investment accounting • Hands-on experience with multi-entity structures, joint ventures, waterfalls, and investor allocations • Demonstrated FP&A leadership experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for a multi-entity organization • Advanced financial modeling skills • Advanced Excel skills • Advanced data analytics and database management skills • High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
