BRAC International is a Global South–led development non-profit that pioneers and scales holistic poverty‑alleviation solutions across Asia and Africa. Born in Bangladesh in 1972, it delivers integrated programmes in education, healthcare and nutrition, financial inclusion and microfinance, agriculture and food security, youth empowerment, humanitarian response, and climate resilience. BRAC also operates social enterprises and microfinance subsidiaries, and uses the evidence‑based Graduation approach to help people escape extreme poverty—reaching over 145 million people to date and disbursing large volumes of microloans, primarily to women.
