📋 Description

• Develop and implement technical product concepts for monitoring solutions in railway infrastructure and on vehicle components • Analyze railway systems across the interaction of mechanics, electrical engineering, signaling, operations, and maintenance • Manage requirements from customer-specific needs through technical specification, tracking, and implementation in the system • Perform systems engineering activities spanning requirements, interfaces, architecture, integration, and testing through to operator acceptance • Define sensors, data transmission, data quality, diagnostic functions, and alarm concepts for robust field applications • Plan and support pilot installations, measurement campaigns, field tests, acceptance procedures, and technical validation • Actively implement solutions together with customers on site • Independently coordinate with operators, development partners, testing and inspection bodies, and internal teams

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree in railway engineering, transport engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or a related field • Experience in the railway sector, ideally with infrastructure, rolling stock technology, signaling and control systems, maintenance, or operator processes • Knowledge of technical systems, operating conditions, and requirements in the regulated railway environment, as well as an understanding of system interfaces • Knowledge of relevant sensors, such as force, displacement, temperature, and vibration sensors • Familiarity with IoT architectures incorporating edge and cloud components • Experience in data analysis or with data-driven products • Experience with systems engineering in a regulated environment • Ability to act as an effective interface between railway experts, developers, and management • Hands-on mindset and willingness to work trackside • Analytical thinking • Fluency in German and English
