📋 Description

• Research and experiment with Generative AI approaches, including agents, LLMs, SLMs, multimodal models, RAG, and fine-tuning • Work with the bank’s business areas to understand challenges, formulate hypotheses, and develop AI solutions for real-world problems • Lead hands-on projects from experimentation through implementation and validation, integrating models, data, APIs, tools, memory, retrieval, and guardrails • Structure experiments, datasets, baselines, metrics, and evaluation criteria, comparing internal, partner, and market alternatives • Evaluate agents end to end and investigate failures, considering quality, grounding, memory, tools, robustness, cost, and performance • Develop reusable components, benchmarks, methods, and accelerators • Contribute to strategic initiatives involving agent memory, evaluation, and monitoring • Incorporate requirements for quality, security, privacy, and Responsible AI • Share learnings and serve as a technical reference for the Center of Excellence (CoE) and other business areas • Develop, evaluate, and enhance Generative AI and agent solutions for banco BV’s GenAI CoE • Collaborate with internal teams, partners, companies, universities, and researchers

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience in Data Science, Generative AI, and the development of agents or other AI solutions • Strong command of Python, software development best practices, testing, and API integration • Experience with experimentation, metrics, model evaluation, prompts and agents, results analysis, and error investigation • Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, chunking, retrieval, reranking, and grounding • Experience with agent frameworks such as ADK or equivalent technologies • Knowledge of planning, memory, tools, orchestration, and multi-agent workflows • Knowledge of LLMOps and observability, including tracing, versioning, and monitoring of quality, cost, and latency • Experience with cloud platforms and AI services, preferably GCP and Vertex AI, or equivalent platforms • Ability to track technical and scientific advances and turn them into applicable solutions • Scientific mindset and the ability to transform challenges into testable hypotheses • Curiosity about applied research and emerging technologies • Technical depth, a hands-on approach, and autonomy when working on loosely structured problems • Ability to compare alternatives and make evidence-based decisions • Critical perspective on applicability, quality, limitations, and risks • Clear communication and collaboration with technical professionals, executives, business teams, and external partners • Experience with fine-tuning, PEFT, LoRA, quantization, or open-source models
