• Design, integrate, deploy, and maintain large cloud-based solutions, systems, and services • Ensure efficient cloud-function operation according to best practices • Interact with users and use cases, provide systems support, define system architecture, and make recommendations based on user needs • Implement, test, train users on, and deploy open-source solutions • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures • Monitor installed systems and infrastructure • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud-system performance and issues and maintain and update the cloud system • Deliver quality performance indicators, project journals, status reports, and other standard project documentation • Work with cloud-edge ecosystem companies in international projects and open-source communities • Collaborate with development teams on support escalations, use cases and solutions teams on discovery and demos, and community teams on open-source contributions • Write and maintain software documentation and project reports
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. • Hands-on experience in cloud systems integration and support using open-source technologies • Experience with Cloud Management platforms and their associated technologies • Understanding of managing virtualized infrastructures and orchestration of underlying subsystems • Experience developing and maintaining Ruby code bases for system applications • Knowledge of computing systems integration and interaction with operating system facilities including I/O, networking, and virtualization • Experience integrating computing systems related to virtualization, storage, and networking • Knowledge of KVM/QEMU virtualization, qcow2, and virtual machine management • Knowledge and administration of NAS and SAN storage systems for VM disk images • Knowledge of Linux networking stack, VLAN protocols, packet filtering, basic routing protocols, Open vSwitch, and DPDK • Experience writing Terraform modules and managing virtualized infrastructure deployments with Terraform • Experience deploying and using monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus • Ability to design monitoring metrics and associated data structures and analyze usage reports • English fluency at a professional or native-equivalent level, with excellent clarity and expression in writing and speech • Strong customer service mindset and responsiveness to user needs • Clear written and verbal English, documentation, asynchronous collaboration, and work visibility • Self-management, accountability, independent work, time management, and task ownership • Confidence using Git, CI/CD, Slack, Zoom, GitHub, and remote collaboration tools • Availability for occasional travel and participation in international events and meetings • Include the word “pineapple” in one application answer
