📋 Description

• Operate and further develop approximately 700 Debian- and Ubuntu-based Linux servers • Install, configure, and maintain MySQL/MariaDB databases; PostgreSQL is a plus • Build and operate high-performance web server environments using Nginx and Apache • Advise customers on selecting and implementing tailored Linux solutions • Perform patch and update management as well as vulnerability assessments • Automate recurring tasks with Ansible • Monitor and optimize performance using Nagios and Grafana • Further develop security standards, including hardening, logging, and SIEM • Participate in ticket- and telephone-based support, as well as incident response and consulting • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule • Document systems and processes

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, or comparable skills • At least 2 years of experience in Linux administration in large-scale environments • In-depth knowledge of Debian and Ubuntu • Strong database skills in MySQL/MariaDB; PostgreSQL is a plus • Experience operating Nginx/Apache in production environments • Confident use of Ansible for automation and configuration management • Bonus: Knowledge of Proxmox and Docker/Kubernetes • Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls • Experience with monitoring and logging using Grafana, Graylog, and Nagios • Good understanding of IT security, vulnerability management, and system hardening • Analytical mindset, independent working style, and strong team-player mentality • Desirable but not required: experience building and managing Kubernetes clusters
