📋 Description

• Build product features from idea to release across a Python backend, APIs, and Vue.js/TypeScript frontend • Scope product features with Product Management • Help shape and develop Checkmk’s AI assistant for complex IT environments • Help determine how AI coding tools such as Claude Code are used in software development • Evolve and reshape large parts of the codebase • Plan incremental architectural changes without disrupting customers • Collaborate with UX, QA, Security, Product Management and other development teams • Participate in two-week sprints, daily meetings, retrospectives and sprint planning • Continuously improve development processes

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Python • Experience evolving a large, long-lived codebase • Experience driving technical decisions and making changes spanning teams • Experience designing web APIs • Good understanding of Linux • Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code • Business-fluent written and spoken English • Experience with Vue.js, React or TypeScript is a plus • Experience building LLM-based features, such as agents and tool integrations, is a plus • Interest in IT operations or monitoring is a plus • Interest in working on open-source software
