📋 Description

• Lead a cross-functional team of 4–6 software developers • Ensure the disciplinary and technical development of team members • Contribute to the further development of several core parts of Checkmk software • Take on roles such as coach, motivator, or sparring partner depending on the situation • Actively develop software and contribute to high quality through code reviews • Coach team members and conduct 1:1s and feedback discussions • Support individual developers’ personal and career development • Support team culture and bonding through team events and other measures • Hire new team members • Align team needs with the engineering manager

🎯 Requirements

• Profound engineering experience • University degree in computer science, engineering or similar • 5+ years of hands-on development experience in Python; C++/Rust is a plus • Experience managing or leading a team, including hiring, 1:1s, giving feedback, building teams, and delivering quality code on time • Continued interest in developing code while shaping the team and being accountable for team results • Positive energy and motivating spirit • Ability to thrive in international environments • Fluent in English; fluency in German is a strong plus • Product-oriented mindset • Strong writing skills and ability to organize work asynchronously
