📋 Description

• Benchmark system and database performance, perform performance analysis, capacity sizing, and optimization • Troubleshoot and debug applications, server errors, and logs, and triage issues • Recommend configuration tuning and optimizations for performance bottlenecks • Partner with ClickHouse core development, cloud, and security teams to improve ClickHouse Cloud performance • Plan, enable, and drive Chaos initiatives across Engineering teams • Develop, deploy, and manage tools to run chaos experiments systematically and measure their impact • Gain a deep understanding of large-scale distributed systems • Study software resilience, operational, and delivery problems • Extend the backend to enable Chaos Engineering techniques • Observe running systems and prioritize innovative ways to disrupt them

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant software development industry experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems • Software development experience in Go, C/C++, Java, or similar • Experience with concurrency, multithreading, and deployment of distributed system architectures • Experience developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes • Experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects with multiple experienced engineers • Expertise with a public cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and infrastructure-as-a-service offerings such as EC2 • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within and across engineering teams • Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills • Passion for efficiency, availability, scalability, and data governance • High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability • Hands-on experience with Go or C++
