📋 Description

• Apply quantitative and geospatial methods to identify high-priority programs, geographic targeting opportunities, and health system efficiencies • Build cost-effectiveness models for evidence-based program decision-making • Manage analytical workstreams end-to-end and determine appropriate methodologies and analytical depth • Use large-scale datasets, including GBD, DHS, national surveys, IHME datasets, and implementation cost data, to inform program design and prioritization • Collaborate with disease and geographic programs to gather inputs and validate analytical assumptions • Support the design and implementation of new pilot programs • Pressure-test theories of change through evidence review, assumption interrogation, and causal pathway and counterfactual assessment • Translate modelling and analytical work into presentations, memos, and briefing materials for senior leadership and philanthropic funders • Prepare evidence-based materials for funder prioritization and funding conversations • Collaborate with country teams and government partners to ensure interventions are feasible and aligned with national health systems

🎯 Requirements

• Postgraduate degree in epidemiology, economics, or related quantitative discipline • 7+ years of experience applying quantitative methods to global health or development challenges • Experience with cost-effectiveness analysis, impact evaluations, and mathematical modeling • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills • Data management and statistical analysis skills using Stata, R, or SAS • Experience in cost-effectiveness modeling and evaluation design, including causal inference using observational data • Experience assessing and reconciling data quality across large survey and administrative datasets in multi-country settings • Strong understanding of LMIC health systems, data limitations, operational constraints, and government and partner ecosystems • Strong communication skills and ability to translate research into policy recommendations • Ability to present complex quantitative findings to donors, government stakeholders, and diverse audiences • Demonstrated fluency in AI tools for information synthesis and analytical outputs, with ability to critically evaluate and refine AI-generated work • Ability to independently shape ambiguous concepts into clear visions and deliver donor-ready and senior-leadership-ready products • Commitment to collaborating with a remote, geographically dispersed team across multiple time zones • Fluency in English • Direct donor collaboration experience, concept note or proposal drafting, analytical quality-checking, mentoring, or geospatial methods experience are preferred or advantageous
