📋 Description

• Support the Group Product & Chemical Compliance Team with product and chemical compliance activities • Provide data analysis for Group-wide compliance performance • Manage the compliance team inbox by logging, assigning and tracking compliance requests • Assign requests to responsible Coats technical leads • Issue and file approved compliance returns to internal stakeholders • Produce monthly KPI reports on processed requests and workflow performance • Support updates to the Coats Restricted Substances List and applicable test methods • Manage supplier return data and track compliance exceptions and Group-wide reporting requirements • Collaborate with Procurement teams and site Chemicals Officers to ensure production-site compliance with the Coats RSL • Support the Group RSL testing schedule for Apparel & Footwear brand testing requirements • Submit RSL testing applications through designated laboratories and brand platforms, progressing to managing this activity after training • Check and validate RSL test application laboratory invoices • Coordinate the three-yearly review and update of Coats Finished Goods Safety Data Sheets • Maintain the Group RSL returns statutory 10-year filing system • Maintain the Footwear Structural Component RSL reporting database, including due dates, tracking and results • Maintain the Product Safety SharePoint page and regulatory support documents • Maintain compliance reporting templates and the approved caveats database • Track unit Higg FEM, SLCP and ZDHC performance • Support the annual Group EcoVadis assessment submission • Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes, reporting and data management • Support wider team and Group-level compliance projects as required

🎯 Requirements

• Degree (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Materials/Textile Engineering or similar • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a business environment • Understanding of legal requirements relating to Health & Safety and the Environment • Experience in managing data accurately • Excellent numerical and analytical skills • Strong task prioritisation skills • Strong attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication • Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Previous experience in textile or manufacturing environment (desirable) • Working knowledge of global chemical regulations, including UK/EU REACH, RoHS, US EPA TSCA, Canadian DSL, Australian IChEMS and California Prop 65 (desirable) • Experience of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) (desirable) • Experience of EcoVadis (desirable) • Advanced MS Excel (desirable)
