📋 Description

• Run the monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and payroll entries • Reconcile bank, credit card, AP, AR, and balance sheet accounts every month • Prepare monthly financial statements and variance explanations for the controller or owner • Maintain fixed asset, loan, and lease schedules • Support year-end by preparing audit or tax packages for the outside CPA • Review the bookkeeper's or AP/AR specialist's work and fix coding errors • Improve close checklists and spreadsheets to make each month faster

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (Contaduría Pública) or finance • 3+ years in general accounting with ownership of month-end close • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP concepts, including accrual accounting, revenue recognition, and balance sheet reconciliations • Intermediate-to-advanced English (B2+) for written reports and calls with the controller • Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and building reconciliation schedules • Experience at a U.S. company, Big 4 or mid-tier firm, or outsourced accounting firm serving U.S. clients • Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Xero • Experience with fixed assets, loans, leases, and audit/tax support • Experience preparing financial statements and variance analysis • Experience with job costing or WIP schedules in construction or manufacturing
