📋 Description

• Run the monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and payroll entries • Reconcile bank, credit card, AP, AR, and balance sheet accounts monthly • Prepare monthly financial statements and variance explanations for the controller or owner • Maintain fixed asset, loan, and lease schedules • Support year-end by preparing audit or tax packages for the outside CPA • Review bookkeeper or AP/AR specialist work and correct coding errors • Improve close checklists and spreadsheets to make monthly close more efficient

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance • 3+ years of general accounting experience • Hands-on ownership of month-end close • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP concepts, including accrual accounting, revenue recognition, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations • Experience preparing financial statements and variance analysis • Intermediate-to-advanced English (B2+) for written reports, calls, professional communication, and financial reporting • Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation schedules • Experience with U.S. companies, CPA firms, or outsourced accounting firms serving U.S. clients • Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Xero • Experience with fixed assets, loans, leases, and audit/tax support • Experience with job costing or WIP schedules in construction or manufacturing
