📋 Description

• Run the monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and payroll entries • Reconcile bank, credit card, AP, AR, and balance sheet accounts monthly • Prepare monthly financial statements and variance explanations for the controller or owner • Maintain fixed asset, loan, and lease schedules • Support year-end by preparing audit or tax packages for the outside CPA • Review bookkeeper or AP/AR specialist work and correct coding errors • Improve close checklists and spreadsheets to accelerate the monthly close

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Contaduría Pública) or Finance • 3+ years in general accounting with ownership of month-end close • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP concepts, including accrual accounting, revenue recognition, and balance sheet reconciliations • Intermediate-to-advanced English (B2+) for written reports and calls with the controller • Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and building reconciliation schedules • Experience preparing financial statements and variance analysis • Experience with U.S. companies, CPA firms, or outsourced accounting firms serving U.S. clients • Experience with fixed assets, loans, leases, and audit/tax support • QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Xero • Job costing or WIP schedules in construction or manufacturing
