📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and grow engineers; support their development and career progression • Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and senior leaders to set a clear quarterly roadmap and deliver it iteratively • Guide technical decisions and promote high-quality code, sound engineering practices, and reliable distributed systems • Stay close to the work through design and code reviews, incident leadership, on-call participation, and troubleshooting when needed • Own processes that improve engineering quality and help the team meet its service-level commitments • Partner with recruiting to attract and hire strong engineers • Lead a team developing reliable data services and privacy and governance capabilities for responsible data use

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in data platform or infrastructure, including 2+ years in engineering management • Experience building, delivering, and operating distributed systems at scale • Strong engineering judgment and the ability to foster quality, maintainability, and effective development practices • An execution-focused approach: able to work through ambiguity, balance near-term delivery with long-term planning, and turn complex goals into actionable work • A hands-on leadership style and willingness to engage in technical work and operational responsibilities • Experience leading technical change in a large, fast-moving organization • Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, such as Bitcoin or Ethereum • Clear communication, ownership, and a strong customer focus • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
