The organization runs youth and adult programs and leagues (SportStars, HoopStars, Mississauga Soccer, Volleyball Mississauga), manages facility rentals and tournament/training bookings, and provides an online booking system and the RecRivals app to view real-time availability and manage reservations. Primary locations include Applewood Heights and Gordon Graydon in Mississauga, Ontario.

📋 Description

• Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute long-term strategic plans, including growth initiatives, acquisitions, and operational scaling • Translate business plans into integrated financial models, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs for multi-location and seasonal operations • Lead enterprise-level financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ROI evaluation • Provide scenario analysis and ROI modeling for new facility launches, program and pricing decisions, marketing spend and customer acquisition, and staffing and capacity planning • Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple entities • Ensure financial and operational compliance • Implement cost management and margin improvement initiatives to drive profitability • Develop dashboards and performance reporting connecting operational KPIs to financial outcomes • Manage relationships with external investors • Secure and manage financing for growth initiatives and capital projects • Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, debt restructuring, and FX strategy • Build scalable financial systems and processes • Improve accuracy, efficiency, and insight through automation and streamlined workflows • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team • Advise internal stakeholders and external partners on financial matters • Communicate complex financial insights clearly to non-financial leaders

🎯 Requirements

• Proven ability to drive profitability, scale operations, and support complex growth initiatives including M&A, capital projects, and international operations • Strategic finance leadership in a multi-entity organization • Experience developing integrated financial models, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs • Enterprise-level financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ROI evaluation • Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple entities • Financial and operational compliance knowledge • Cost management and margin improvement experience • Experience developing dashboards and performance reporting • Experience managing relationships with external investors • Experience securing and managing financing for growth initiatives and capital projects • Treasury expertise, including cash flow forecasting, working capital optimization, debt restructuring, and FX strategy • Ability to build scalable financial systems and processes • Experience with automation and streamlined workflows • Ability to build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team • Ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to non-financial leaders
