📋 Description

• Create and maintain Contabo’s new product line • Make design, code, and infrastructure decisions based on product strategy and time-to-market • Create the business logic for authentication, virtual servers, storage, networking, accounts, projects, feature flags, and related capabilities • Expose infrastructure primitives to customers and internal teams • Enable internal teams to build managed services and other value-added products • Participate in on-call rotations • Proactively improve system redundancy • Collaborate as part of a new core team in a greenfield environment

🎯 Requirements

• Production experience with at least one modern backend language: Go, Python, Java, or Rust • Experience designing and building APIs as stable interfaces for infrastructure consumption • Familiarity with IaaS provisioning stacks: OpenStack (Nova/Ironic/Octavia), KubeVirt/QEMU/libvirt, Ceph, and LVM • Kubernetes or comparable orchestration experience in production • Experience with virtualization platforms such as KVM/OpenStack or similar • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible • Experience with large-scale infrastructure operations • Solution-agnostic approach to build-versus-buy evaluations • Ownership spanning backend and infrastructure • Comfortable with on-call and production incident response • 10+ years of combined experience (plus) • Fluent English • German language skills are nice to have
