📋 Description

• Own the organization's overall security posture, including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and endpoint/identity protection • Direct security monitoring and incident investigation, including EDR/SIEM alert triage, threat hunting, and formal incident reporting • Lead response to active threats and major security incidents and breaches • Define and maintain security architecture standards across Azure and GCP cloud environments • Establish and enforce security policies covering access control, data protection, endpoint management, and acceptable use • Build, lead, and develop the information security team • Set priorities, objectives, and accountability structures for security architects, analysts, IAM/GRC leads, and other direct reports • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture and support professional development and certification • Manage team workload and resources for monitoring, incident response, and project delivery • Define and own the organization's security architecture and strategy • Lead security-control design and implementation for networks, endpoints, applications, and cloud workloads • Conduct secure-by-design reviews for new projects and technologies • Set technical standards for security-tool selection, deployment, and integration • Evaluate emerging threats and technologies and adjust the security roadmap • Own the security incident response program from detection through post-incident review • Establish and maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and escalation procedures • Coordinate breach notification and external disclosure requirements with legal, communications, and executive leadership • Improve detection and response capabilities using lessons learned, tabletop exercises, and threat intelligence • Develop, maintain, and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures • Align policies with regulatory and contractual requirements and ensure regular review • Establish governance structures, including a security steering committee and policy exception processes • Represent security in client, partner, and regulatory due-diligence engagements • Act as primary liaison with internal and external auditors • Coordinate audit scope, evidence collection, and remediation of findings • Own the security risk management program and maintain the organizational risk register • Ensure risk treatment plans have ownership, timelines, and executive visibility • Report security risk posture to executive leadership and the board • Own and manage the security budget, including forecasting, prioritization, and ROI analysis • Build business cases for security investments, balancing risk reduction, cost, and operational impact

🎯 Requirements

• Senior executive accountability for information security strategy, governance, and execution • Experience or technical depth guiding security architecture, identity and access management, data protection, and threat monitoring (SIEM/SOC) decisions • Knowledge of cloud security architecture across Azure and GCP • Knowledge of network segmentation, firewall/NGFW policy, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) • Knowledge of access control, data protection, endpoint management, and acceptable-use policies • Experience leading security monitoring and incident investigation, including EDR/SIEM alert triage, threat hunting, and formal incident reporting • Experience with vulnerability management and endpoint/identity protection • Experience hiring, coaching, managing performance, and succession planning for information security teams • Experience setting priorities, objectives, and accountability structures for security architects, analysts, IAM/GRC leads, and other direct reports • Experience designing and implementing security controls for networks, endpoints, applications, and cloud workloads • Experience conducting secure-by-design reviews for new projects and technologies • Experience selecting, deploying, and integrating security tooling across the technology stack • Ability to evaluate emerging threats and technologies and adjust the security roadmap • Experience owning an end-to-end security incident response program • Experience establishing incident response plans, playbooks, and escalation procedures • Experience coordinating breach notification and external disclosure requirements with legal, communications, and executive leadership • Experience developing, maintaining, and enforcing information security policies, standards, and procedures • Knowledge of applicable regulatory and contractual requirements • Experience establishing security governance structures, including security steering committees and policy exception processes • Experience representing security in client, partner, and regulatory due-diligence engagements, questionnaires, and audits • Experience liaising with internal and external auditors, coordinating audit scope, evidence collection, and remediation • Experience owning security risk management, including risk identification, assessment, treatment, and reporting • Experience maintaining a risk register and risk treatment plans • Experience reporting security risk posture to executive leadership and the board using business-relevant metrics • Experience managing security budgets, forecasting, prioritization, and return-on-investment analysis • Ability to build business cases for security investments while balancing risk reduction, cost, and operational impact
