📋 Description

• Perform technical accounting research on complex accounting issues, including debt/equity transactions, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, consolidations, business acquisitions, divestitures, leases, and statement of cash flows presentation • Prepare technical accounting memorandums documenting research and conclusions • Support implementation of technical accounting matters, including preparing journal entries and drafting accounting policies and processes • Communicate technical accounting analyses and conclusions with client stakeholders and external auditors • Prepare external financial reporting, including primary financial statements and footnote disclosures • Keep informed of new and evolving accounting topics • Communicate project findings, updates, and recommendations to clients • Collaborate with CrossCountry and client team members on business issues and potential solutions • Assist with project administration, including project setup and planning, budgeting, account management, and billing • Develop and implement firm-approved, AI-enabled client solutions in accordance with company policies • Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes • Responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation • Learn and apply emerging technologies, including AI and automation, in alignment with firm policies and client standards

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant technical accounting and financial reporting experience • Progressive experience in accounting advisory within public accounting (Big 4 or top-tier firms) and/or industry roles focusing on technical accounting • In-depth knowledge of IFRS/U.S. GAAP accounting standards and financial reporting requirements • Ability and desire to research complex technical accounting issues and effectively communicate findings • Professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients • Ability to develop and implement firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards • Ability to stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance or related field • CPA or CA certification preferred • Experience supporting transactions involving mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs, and IPO preferred but not required
