📋 Description

• Lead CRS strategy for strengthening commercial lending partnerships that advance inclusive financing for SMEs and vulnerable populations • Develop and oversee strategic relationships with commercial banks and financial institutions • Serve as technical lead on SME commercial lending solutions, including guarantees, first-loss structures, subordinated loans, and technical assistance • Develop and document adaptable approaches, tools, and guidance for CRS regions and country programs • Lead readiness and capacity-strengthening efforts for regional and country teams • Promote cross-regional learning and knowledge exchange on commercial lending partnerships and innovative finance • Identify partnership opportunities and unlock local lending from commercial banks for initiatives including Azure, Isidro Fund, and Blue Harvest • Provide technical leadership in proposal development, project design, and program management related to commercial lending and blended finance • Contribute to knowledge management through promising practices, lessons learned, case studies, partnership models, and implementation evidence • Monitor commercial banking, impact investing, blended finance, and SME financing trends and advise CRS leadership and country programs • Represent CRS at global and regional forums, networks, and partnerships • Work with the global innovative finance unit, regional and country teams, donors, development banks, funds, and other stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field • Ten years of work experience with progressive responsibilities in blended finance or related fields • Five years of overseas experience in multiple regions as a technical advisor and/or program manager of a commercial lending partnerships program or multi-sectoral project with a lending institution component • Track record of working with donors, development banks, and funds to unlock local bank lending for SMEs • Deep understanding of commercial bank priorities, lending restrictions, incentives, and operations, and/or experience working directly within commercial banks to execute SME lending • Extensive knowledge of finance structures and mechanisms used in development programming • Excellent relationship management, strategic, analytical, problem-solving, systems thinking, written communication, and oral communication skills • Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish • Must be willing and able to travel up to 35% • Ability to legally work where the position is performed • Must clear pre-employment medical clearance when required • Preferred: experience working in agriculture and water sectors • Preferred: experience working in multicultural teams, with LACRO experience strongly preferred
