📋 Description

• Own AWS infrastructure connecting products to laboratory and customer systems • Own secure network paths for research teams to access compute • Run and scale customer connectivity services on EKS with monitoring, firewall rules and certificates • Provide connectivity, network policy and secrets as code using Terraform and Helm • Operate and upgrade cloud-hosted integration and laboratory platform services with high availability and backup • Run disaster-recovery exercises and maintain evidence • Own secure network access to GPU and research compute across cloud providers • Shape the shared network and connectivity layer of the AWS multi-account landing zone • Build monitoring, flow-log analysis and alerting to identify faults proactively • Patch and harden clusters, nodes and images according to security standards • Document the estate as code • Participate in the on-call rota, with planned changes outside laboratory hours • Mentor colleagues • Set technical direction and make design decisions • Report to the Principal Engineer - Cybersecurity & DevOps

🎯 Requirements

• Typically 5/6++ years in DevOps, SRE or infrastructure engineering • Deep Linux/Windows networking: iptables/nftables, routing, DNS and TLS • Experience with site-to-site VPN and private connectivity using IPsec, WireGuard or OpenVPN • Experience tracing failing network flows with flow logs and packet capture • Kubernetes in production, ideally Amazon EKS • Experience with Helm, hardened Docker images and kubectl debugging • Production infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform or OpenTofu, including injecting secrets as code • AWS administration involving VPCs, endpoints, RDS and IAM • Disciplined production change practices: peer review, monitoring, runbooks and tested recovery • Knowledge and experience with Windows and Linux networking, CI/CD, secrets management, and SSO or federation • Experience with cloud-based healthcare integration, laboratory connectivity to cloud, GPU/research cloud environments, or regulated environments is helpful but not required • Must be based in Ireland or the UK • Must be able to work without Irish or UK visa sponsorship
