📋 Description

• Drive the digital reliability of core backend architecture • Report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) • Lead, mentor, and drive execution across Systems (Cloud First) and Network Architecture • Migrate and manage legacy infrastructure to automated, software-defined AWS, Azure, or GCP environments using IaC • Manage, secure, and optimize global corporate and cloud networking architectures • Partner with local IT departments across EMEA to harmonize technology stacks and infrastructure standards • Target 99.9%+ availability for critical backend systems • Manage major Incident, Problem, and Change workflows for the infrastructure layer • Manage the I&O budget using FinOps methodologies • Optimize cloud consumption and backend hardware procurement • Maintain, test, and evolve Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for cloud and hybrid environments • Partner with the CISO to embed DevSecOps security into backend systems • Ensure alignment with GDPR, NIS2, and European compliance mandates

🎯 Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure • At least 3+ years directly managing specialized backend operational teams (Network, Cloud Systems) in an international context • Strong technical expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Deep understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and routers • Practical understanding of DevOps principles in the context of ITIL v4 • ITIL v3 Foundation required • Highly operational and pragmatic mindset • Strong financial acumen and hands-on experience in FinOps and backend procurement • Full professional fluency in English, written and spoken
