📋 Description

• Architect and develop complex, high-load backend systems written in Elixir • Lead technical discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers • Translate vague requirements into robust technical specifications • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers • Conduct code reviews and foster technical excellence • Identify bottlenecks in ticketing and event management systems • Design scalable solutions for traffic spikes • Champion best practices in testing, documentation, and maintainability • Contribute to architectural decisions and improvements to workflows and codebase

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive production experience with Elixir, OTP, and Phoenix, or deep expertise in another functional language with willingness to master Elixir quickly • Strong track record designing and developing distributed systems at scale • Experience integrating complex third-party services and handling failure scenarios • Deep understanding of PostgreSQL, Redis, database internals, and query performance optimisation • Deep understanding of operating systems and Linux internals • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions within a team • Technical leadership and knowledge sharing • Strong communication skills • Ability to work in the UK timezone within +/- 2 hours • Passion for music and culture • Ownership-driven approach to production outcomes
