📋 Description

• Design, implementation and continuous improvement of modern cloud architectures (AWS & Azure) (both as a consultant in projects and as part of a managed service) • Planning and implementation of infrastructure automation (IaC, preferably Terraform) • Designing and regular review of backup strategies • Optimization of existing workloads with respect to performance, cost and security • Advising teams on cloud architecture, best practices and technology decisions • Ensuring compliance with customers' security policies • Identifying vulnerabilities and risks and implementing remediation measures • Incident management and troubleshooting of complex cloud environments • Managing the virtualization layer (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) • Operation and further development of CI/CD pipelines • Patch and update management as well as certificate administration • Access management • Collaboration with various customer roles, e.g., application owners, DevOps and customer teams (for example, regarding security)

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in a STEM subject, technical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification • Several years of experience as a Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer • Ability to plan complex architectures in a structured way and deliver pragmatic solutions • Analytical mindset and a strong sense of responsibility • Commitment to designing systems that are robust and scalable • Deep expertise in AWS and Microsoft Azure (certifications are a plus but not required) • Solid experience with IaC (Terraform), automation and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Confident handling of networking concepts, identity management, monitoring and logging • Experience with server and database administration, e.g., Windows, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, MySQL (and derivatives), MS SQL Server • Good communication skills and enjoyment in defending technical decisions clearly • Very good German and good English skills
