📋 Description

• Partner with Product to understand requirements, business rules, exceptions, dependencies, and impacts • Break down complex problems and turn them into structured systems and solutions • Use AI agents extensively throughout the development process by providing context, objectives, and constraints, and iterating on the results • Participate in designing and evolving the architecture, including onboarding flows, back-end integrations, asynchronous communications, and different application components • Critically assess AI-generated approaches and code, identifying potential security, performance, concurrency, database, and maintainability issues • Work across different application layers, without a rigid division between front-end and back-end • Implement, test, review, and follow features through to production • Investigate anomalous behavior and root causes using logs, metrics, and traces • Make decisions in still-ambiguous scenarios by testing approaches and rapidly refining solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in software development and understanding of the development lifecycle, including version control, code review, testing, and deployment • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including architecture, data modeling, APIs, and how web applications work • Analytical and critical thinking, with the ability to break down complex problems, ask the right questions, and evaluate different solution paths • Ability to systematize information by turning rules, scenarios, and exceptions into logical structures that can be translated into software • Knowledge of software architecture and cloud systems, including concepts related to distributed, serverless, and/or event-driven architectures • Experience with at least one cloud provider • Experience using AI tools in software development, with an openness to working intensively with coding agents throughout the development lifecycle • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and business contexts • Product mindset, autonomy, and initiative to address problems that do not always come with a ready-made specification • Comfortable working in a startup environment with a fast pace of execution and dynamic priorities • Preferred: recurring, advanced experience with coding agents • Preferred: knowledge of Python, TypeScript, and AWS • Preferred: experience building products from their early stages or working in startup environments • Preferred: experience with systems involving multiple integrations and complex business rules • Preferred: experience in fintech, lending, or financial services
