• Design, model, and coordinate fire sprinkler and suppression systems for data center projects • Design wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems • Prepare hydraulic calculations and other engineering calculations • Develop sprinkler layouts and detailed fire protection designs • Select and lay out sprinkler heads, piping, valves, and associated equipment • Determine and expedite engineering deliverables • Develop and maintain project scope of work documentation and revisions • Ensure compliance with NFPA, IBC, IFC, and other applicable codes and standards • Prepare design criteria, calculations, specifications, and equipment data sheets • Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent • Produce coordinated BIM and CAD models and drawings • Coordinate sprinkler systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle • Support construction progress through occasional site visits
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, preferably fire protection, mechanical, or related field • At least 4–5 years of experience in fire sprinkler/fire protection design • Proven expertise in fire sprinkler and suppression system design • Strong understanding of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems • Experience performing and reviewing hydraulic calculations • Knowledge of NFPA, IBC, and IFC codes and standards • FM Global knowledge is a plus • Hands-on Autodesk Revit experience is a must • Experience designing systems for industrial, commercial, or mission-critical projects • Written and spoken English B1 and higher • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet project deadlines • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly • Experience with U.S.-based projects and data centers is an advantage • Must work as an independent, self-employed professional under a formal contractor agreement • Responsible for complying with tax and labor obligations in the country of residence
