📋 Description

• Manage bookkeeping for multiple client accounts • Perform monthly reconciliations and close processes • Prepare and review financial statements • Maintain accurate general ledger records • Ensure high-quality client deliverables • Prepare and review business and individual tax returns • Assist with tax planning and compliance • Research accounting and tax issues • Support clients throughout tax season • Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff • Review work for accuracy and completeness • Improve workflows, documentation, and quality control • Help build and scale the accounting team • Serve as the first point of escalation for accounting questions • Communicate professionally with clients • Resolve accounting issues proactively • Manage deadlines across multiple engagements • Deliver consistent, accurate work with minimal supervision • Independently manage a portfolio of client accounts within the first 6–12 months • Begin supervising and developing junior accounting staff • Help improve internal processes as the firm grows

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7+ years of public accounting or client accounting experience • Experience with Drake Tax required • Experience with TaxDome required • Experience with QuickBooks Online required • Strong bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals • Experience preparing business and/or individual tax returns • Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously • Excellent attention to detail • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Excellent written and spoken English • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight • CPA or CPA candidate preferred • Experience working in a U.S. CPA firm • Experience managing remote teams • Reliable, dependable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership • Calm under deadlines and detail-oriented while maintaining efficiency • Interest in growing into a long-term leadership position
