📋 Description

• Own end-to-end SAP Basis service delivery for a complex landscape • Operate and maintain SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and surrounding applications across production and non-production • Lead high-severity incident resolution, problem management, root-cause analysis, and technical escalations hands-on • Perform system monitoring, transport management, client copies and refreshes, kernel and support-pack upgrades, patching, SPS/note application, printer and interface management, user administration, and job scheduling • Plan and execute system refreshes, migrations, upgrades, and disaster-recovery drills • Ensure change, incident, and problem processes meet quality standards and SLAs • Lead, mentor, and develop the Basis team; manage work allocation, shift coverage, and workload balancing • Provide operational coverage during and beyond second shift and maintain continuity across handovers • Build team technical depth and reduce key-person risk • Manage performance, feedback, and growth conversations for direct reports • Drive team ownership of SOPs, known issue registers, and runbooks • Serve as the primary SAP Basis contact for client stakeholders and handle escalations • Lead weekly and monthly service reviews with data-backed reporting on incidents, changes, backlog, and service health • Identify and deliver improvement, automation, and optimization opportunities • Align delivery with engagement standards, governance, and the Overall SAP Basis Lead

🎯 Requirements

• 10–16 years of core SAP Basis experience • Hands-on SAP Basis administration across S/4HANA and ECC • Experience with SAP LaMa (Landscape Management) • Experience with SAP Focused Run (FRUN) • SAP PO/PI administration and troubleshooting • Basis support perspective on Documentum, PCL, and OpenText • Experience with BTP, hyperscaler-hosted SAP workloads, and connected cloud services • Strong Linux, Unix, and Windows operating system knowledge • DBA skills across HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server, including administration, performance, and backup/recovery • Preferred: exposure to networking, F5/load balancers, and security/vulnerability remediation • Preferred: automation and AI-assisted Basis operations experience • Preferred: prior AMS/managed-services delivery in multi-region, multi-sector environments • Strong ownership, accountability, communication, and client-facing capabilities • Ability to remain calm and decisive during major incidents • Willingness and ability to extend hours when operations demand it
