📋 Description

• Manage, optimize the design, and lead execution of Energy Vault BESS projects in Japan • Take responsibility for project execution, including scope, schedule, stakeholders, and coordination • Identify gaps in scope and responsibilities and work with stakeholders to address them • Understand and support engineering, procurement, construction, and permitting processes • Apply engineering principles and consult subject matter experts to identify issues and drive solutions • Specify project equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and protection solutions • Interface with project managers, product engineers, sales teams, utilities, AHJs, contractors, and end customers • Review project design documents, including single-line drawings, communication diagrams, layouts, and equipment test reports • Plan and lead BESS project commissioning • Provide constructive feedback to improve internal processes and products • Help document and build scalable processes, technology, and products

🎯 Requirements

• Fluent in Japanese and English • Current work rights in Japan • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electrical or power system engineering) or equivalent experience • 10+ years of experience leading project design, preferably for large power stations, PV, or other utility-scale power projects • 5+ years of BESS project experience preferred • 3+ years of experience working on EPC projects • Knowledge of relevant electrical standards for BESS projects in Japan • PE certification or equivalent preferred • Familiarity with permitting processes with local authorities • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30% • Comfortable in fast-paced, rapid-growth environments • Passion for sustainability, the company’s mission, and its vision is a bonus
