📋 Description

• Scrape and analyze social media data to study the impact of platform features on users • Evaluate the effectiveness of recommender systems and algorithms on social media platforms • Design and implement experiments using sock puppets methodologies and account-based data collection • Design and implement data visualizations to communicate social media insights to stakeholders • Provide comprehensive project support throughout the lifecycle, including work plans, timelines, meetings, stakeholder interactions, infrastructure requirements, resource allocation, task progress monitoring, milestones, deliverables, and communication between technical teams and project leadership • Integrate into the Development team and cooperate closely with a major client's IT team

🎯 Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 7 years of relevant working experience • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data science, data analysis, data visualisation and quantitative research, including designing and implementing data pipelines, data cleaning and data processing • Minimum 3 years of experience in statistical analysis, machine and deep learning model development, and model evaluation • Minimum 2 years of experience in account-based data collection, scraping, and working with large-scale datasets from digital or social media sources • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R and SQL; Perl optional • Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing, including Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch and Hugging Face • Knowledge of web scraping tools and libraries, large-scale data collection from social media platforms, including account-based methodologies such as sock puppets • Knowledge of data engineering and data visualization tools • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git • Knowledge of project management software such as JIRA and Microsoft Project • Knowledge of collaboration and documentation platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint • Certifications in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field • Excellent command of the English language
