• Lead high-impact drug discovery programs from target validation through candidate selection • Translate cutting-edge science into clinical-ready compounds • Advance programs across Oncology, Inflammation, Neuroscience, Metabolism, and Infectious Diseases • Build and lead cross-functional project teams involving Eurofins Discovery scientists and client partners • Design, plan, and execute end-to-end discovery strategies • Consult with clients on requirements and help prepare and deliver integrated drug discovery and IND-enabling proposals • Design screening cascades and workflows with clients, stakeholders, experts, and pricing teams • Drive project and activity progress across relevant sites to ensure timely data, milestones, and productive client relationships • Interpret integrated discovery data, support rapid decision-making, identify risks, and help achieve timelines, budgets, and milestones • Act as the key scientific contact in regular client communications • Develop resourcing and budget plans • Maintain understanding of Eurofins Discovery and Eurofins Biopharma Services capabilities and capacity • Communicate project status and issues to management and stakeholders through meetings and key documents • Interact with clients, industry peers, and suppliers, including customer and client visits • Prepare and facilitate post-project evaluations and share lessons learned • Provide scientific and strategic guidance during the IND-enabling stage, including study package definition, multidisciplinary data interpretation, risk identification, proposal design, and cross-functional coordination
• Expert user of online project and data-management tools, such as SharePoint • Background in Medicinal Chemistry, Biology, or DMPK • More than 10 years in the industry covering different therapeutic areas, project phases, target classes, and gene families • Track record of leading teams and delivering multiple clinical candidates • Higher degree (MSc or PhD) or equivalent in biological sciences or a relevant subject • At least 10 years’ experience of drug discovery project leadership in industry • Therapeutic area expertise, such as oncology, CNS, metabolism, or immuno-oncology • Strong project planning, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills • Excellent organization, oral and written communication, and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude • Resides in CST or EST time zones • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, and comply with company policies • Advanced computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, PowerPoint, project management software, Microsoft Project, and AI tools • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
