📋 Description

• Own the operational setup for TARGET2 direct participation end to end • Design and document the operating model before go-live • Validate processes during August end-to-end UAT • Cut over BIC by BIC and maintain operations as business-as-usual • Own incoming and outgoing SCT Inst recalls, including alert/customer-consent flows and full or partial refunds • Automate and support SCT/SCT Inst inquiries, investigations, and pacs.028 payment-status requests • Own and automate SWIFT enquiry handling, including MT199, MT999, RFIs, and ISO 20022 pacs, camt, and pain flows • Monitor inbound RTGS payments, handle exceptions and unmatched or pending items, manage returns, and establish Escrow infrastructure • Maintain rejects, returns, refunds, back-office visibility, codes, and abnormal-exception alerts • Operate the T2 GUI/dashboard through U2A and A2A for payment tracking, returns, liquidity visibility, and fallback/manual actions • Maintain CRDM reference data, TARGET access, four-eyes authorization, production segregation of duties, and manual-versus-automated operations • Manage migration from indirect to direct participation and define retirement criteria for BNPP-dependent steps • Own Payment Operations interfaces into reconciliation across MCA, RTGS DCA, and TIPS DCA • Redesign incident management and escalation routes for direct participation • Own DNB notifications, reporting, and evidence retention • Define Payment Operations responsibilities for ECONS II contingency, including training and test evidence • Coordinate with the T2 scheme/Eurosystem, DNB, SWIFT/NSP, FIS, correspondent banks, and BNP Paribas • Partner with Product and Engineering to test interfaces, identify back-office development needs, and define automated versus manual behavior • Collaborate with reconciliation teams on liquidity management and operational processes • Establish documented ownership, procedures, controls, escalation paths, fallback processes, and UAT evidence • Deliver migration with no customer-experience impact and stable post-go-live operations without residual BNPP operational dependency

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in payment operations at a bank, EMI, or PSP • Hands-on exposure to SEPA schemes, including SCT and SCT Inst • Hands-on exposure to TARGET Services, including T2/RTGS and TIPS direct connectivity • Practical knowledge of payment investigations, recalls, returns/refunds workflows • Working knowledge of SWIFT and ISO 20022 messaging, including MT199, MT999, pacs, camt, and pain • Experience operating T2 GUI, CRDM, reconciliation, and liquidity-monitoring tools through U2A/A2A actions • Ability to design and document SOPs, four-eyes controls, authorization matrices, and audit-quality evidence • Experience coordinating with regulators, scheme operators, service providers, correspondent banks, and cross-functional teams • Ability to independently own sign-offs, incident escalation, and regulatory reporting decisions • Familiarity with DNB/TARGET-NL conditions, the Instant Payments Regulation (IPR), and EMI/PSD2 operational obligations • Professional fluency in English, written and spoken • Prior direct TARGET/RTGS/TIPS onboarding or sponsor-bank-to-direct-participation migration experience is nice to have • Experience establishing incident management and ECONS II contingency processes is nice to have
