📋 Description

• Build and evolve backend services and APIs that are fast, reliable, and easy to change • Take features from first idea to production • Shape approaches with product and design teams • Ship features, measure results, and improve them • Help make architectural decisions • Write clear technical proposals • Balance delivery speed with solutions that remain effective over time • Set up ways to identify service issues early • Respond quickly to incidents and support users when issues occur • Review code and share knowledge • Help other engineers grow • Work across product, design, and business teams to turn needs into practical technical solutions • Explain technical trade-offs clearly

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems in Kotlin, Java, or Ruby • Strong foundations in API design, relational databases, and data modeling • Understanding of how to keep data consistent as systems scale • Experience in a startup environment, fintech, payroll, payments, or banking is a strong plus • Experience shipping products in regulated environments is a strong plus • Hands-on experience running services in production • Ability to debug effectively and investigate incidents • Experience making systems more resilient after incidents • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve • Curiosity about AI and practical experience using it, including building LLM-powered features or using AI tools day to day
