📋 Description

• Own every launch from signed contract to a certified, operating site • Lead parallel launch teams across several African countries • Lead launch programmes across Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire through land, permits, construction, power, hiring, training, commissioning and handover • Run the first Precision Delivery launch in Kigali with go/no-go gates and engineering dependencies • Drive launch execution, timelines and quality standards, intervening when launches slip • Own and productise the deployment playbook and standard bill of materials • Plan customs, spares and power strategies for each country • Hand over sites through written acceptance gates and own defects during the first 90 days • Build and lead a flexible organisation of permanent staff, in-country launch pods and contract labour • Hire, develop and redeploy leaders and talent as build waves change • Partner with Country Directors, governments, regulators, contractors, Supply Chain, Logistics and Engineering • Report to the Head of Operations, Africa

🎯 Requirements

• 12–15+ years delivering multi-site infrastructure or network build programmes at scale • Hands-on build experience in Africa covering land, permits, customs, power, contractors and government interfaces • Experience in West Africa especially valued • Track record of running parallel builds against a contractual deadline • Experience building and applying a repeatable deployment playbook across many sites • Senior enough to set strategy and lead leaders; hands-on enough to inspect and fix site issues • Comfort leading an organisation that grows and shrinks with the launch pipeline • Strong programme and project management instincts, driving workstreams end to end across teams not directly led • Excellent stakeholder and negotiation skills • Track record aligning senior commercial leaders around a plan and maintaining quality under delivery pressure
