• Become part of a specialist team delivering HV and MV electrical power system design across a range of large-scale projects. • Work on technically challenging projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from concept through to delivery.
• Strong technical ability in MV and HV power systems design, including topology design. • Experience in substation design, including AIS/GIS switchgear, transformer sizing, earthing systems, lightning protection, busbar sizing and cable routing. • Ability to prepare MV/HV single line diagrams, basis of design documents, basis of estimates and technical white papers. • Experience designing substations, transformer compounds, underground cable routes, draw pits and client control rooms. • Knowledge of data centre power infrastructure, standby generation, interim power supplies and gas generation systems. • Experience carrying out QA/QC reviews and ensuring designs comply with current industry standards and utility specifications. • Confident liaising with clients, utilities, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute as a technical SME. • Proactive, organised and able to deliver projects to agreed budgets and programmes.
