📋 Description

• Lead the Forest Management Programme Team with clear direction, supervision, and a supportive high-performance environment • Develop and implement outcome-oriented work plans aligned with organizational strategies • Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of resources • Oversee project management and timely, compliant, budget-aligned delivery across programme initiatives • Provide strategic oversight for revising FSC Principles & Criteria and International Generic Indicators • Coordinate development, approval, maintenance, revision, and interpretation of Forest Management normative requirements • Create communications, guidance materials, and training resources for certificate holders, certification bodies, and stakeholders • Monitor and report on normative processes, risks, delays, and status updates • Collaborate with Country Requirements Programmes • Represent FSC in internal and external forums and contribute to cross-unit coordination and competence and accreditation programmes

🎯 Requirements

• MSc in Forest Management or related fields such as Ecology or Natural Resource Management • 5+ years of professional experience in forest management, certification, natural resource management, multi-stakeholder processes, or programme/project management • At least 5 years of direct people supervision experience • Demonstrated project management success, including planning, coordination, and delivery • Strong document review, evaluation, and management skills • Ability to understand and assess complex technical content • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities • Strong time management and ability to manage multiple priorities • Experience with monitoring and evaluation and voluntary sustainability schemes highly desirable • Strong writing, presentation, facilitation, communication, and conflict management skills • High accuracy, diligence, proactiveness, and solution orientation • Proficiency with MS Office 365, especially MS Word • Ability to interpret data and guide analytics • Fluency in English; Spanish or French fluency is an asset • Must submit CV in English • Temporary contract duration of 2 years, extension possible subject to satisfactory performance
