Forgotten Empires is a team of passionate game developers known for their work on the classic real-time strategy (RTS) series, Age of Empires and Age of Mythology. They have developed several definitive editions of these games, such as Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition. Forgotten Empires collaborated with Tantalus Media for the development of Age of Mythology: Retold. They focus on enhancing beloved strategy games with new content and re-releases, maintaining a strong community following.

📋 Description

• Working in a C++ codebase on a custom engine or in UE5. • Generalist skillset, we’re not looking for a specialized set of skills. • Maintain and develop features for the game and the tools that go with it. • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on features. • Regularly debug, profile and optimize code.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven senior level engineer experience in C++ and UE5. • Recent experience working in a video game industry • Experience working in a team environment. • B2 English level – conversational and written. • Player/Development experience with Strategy games is a plus • You will be asked to partake in a technical test to prove your skills.
