📋 Description

• Collaborate on applied research projects in software security together with our partners from academic institutions, industry and public administration • Develop and scientifically evaluate new methods for detecting, analysing, verifying and remediating software vulnerabilities • Research new approaches to static and dynamic program analysis, including fuzzing and the application of AI methods for vulnerability detection • Conduct security analyses of real-world software systems, including code reviews • Perform penetration tests and security assessments • Carry out risk and threat analyses • Contribute to publicly funded research projects and industry collaborations • Prepare project reports and scientific publications • Present research results at national and international conferences

🎯 Requirements

• Completed university degree (Master’s) in Computer Science, IT Security or a related field • Strong interest in software security, program analysis and security research, with a focus on software-driven systems • Very good programming skills (e.g., Java, C/C++), with particular attention to code security • Experience or interest in one or more of the following areas: static/dynamic program analysis, fuzzing • Pentesting, exploit analysis and vulnerability research • Risk and threat modelling • Code reviews and penetration testing • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
