📋 Description

• Own day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting • Oversee monthly close, reporting, budgeting, treasury, and AP/AR functions • Manage bookkeeping and general ledger accounting • Lead month-end close and prepare financial statements • Perform bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages with budget and forecast variance analysis • Track property performance and operating margin KPIs • Support management and investor decision-making through ad hoc analysis • Assist with annual budgeting and rolling forecasts • Model cash flow projections and capital requirements • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes • Manage vendor payments, tenant billing, collections, cash balances, and liquidity planning • Implement scalable accounting systems, processes, and internal controls • Prepare for audits, financing activities, and investor reporting • Maintain property-level financial models and operating statements • Track leasing performance, occupancy, renewals, and churn metrics • Prepare lender and investor reporting packages • Track loan covenants, reserve accounts, and compliance requirements • Coordinate draw requests, financial certifications, and lender audits or reviews • Report directly to senior leadership and partner with operations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • CPA or CPA-track preferred • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience • Real estate or property management experience strongly preferred • Strong knowledge and experience of US GAAP, accrual accounting, and month-end close processes • Experience managing AP/AR, budgeting, and financial reporting • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Yardi, AppFolio, or similar • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to operate independently • Comfortable working in a startup or high-growth environment and building processes from scratch
