📋 Description

• Audit supplier production lines and quality systems, and track corrective actions to closure • Own quality through new product introduction, including first article inspection, pilot builds and ramp to mass production • Work with R&D on manufacturing standards, certifications and acceptance criteria • Run incoming and outgoing quality control with clear acceptance criteria for each supplier • Lead root cause analysis on defects using 8D reports and FMEA, and push suppliers to permanent fixes • Track supplier quality performance, including defect rate and yield • Act as the real-time link between Chinese factories and UK teams on quality

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM discipline from a top-tier university • Supplier quality, manufacturing quality or related experience in hardware, electronics or manufactured physical products • Hands-on factory audit experience across multiple external manufacturers • Working knowledge of 8D, FMEA and SPC • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components, specifically PCBAs, power electronics or battery packs/systems • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications and identify supplier issues • Ability to enforce stringent quality standards and consistently deliver under compressed timelines • Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin • Willingness to travel regularly to supplier sites • Organised and resilient, comfortable owning the day-to-day of supplier quality
